Make a karaoke track from any song

To make a karaoke track, upload a song to IchiPitchy and run AI vocal separation. Removing the vocal stem leaves a clean instrumental — your karaoke backing. You can download it as a lossless WAV, or record your own vocal over it in the same app and mix the two together.

From song to karaoke backing

Sing on it without leaving the page

Because the instrumental lands on a mixer track, you can record straight over it in the browser. The recorder captures at your microphone's native sample rate in 24-bit, with echo cancellation, noise suppression and automatic gain control switched off so your voice is captured as sung rather than processed for a phone call.

A count-in and a latency-offset nudge are there so your take lines up with the backing. Use headphones — on speakers the backing bleeds into the microphone.

Then tune it, if you want to

A karaoke take does not have to stay raw. The same project can auto-tune your vocal to the song's key, or let you fix individual notes on the piano roll, before you export a lossless WAV of the finished performance.

Step by step

  1. Import the song. Upload the track you want to sing over.
  2. Separate the stems. AI vocal separation splits it into a vocal stem and an instrumental stem.
  3. Keep the instrumental. That stem is your karaoke backing. Download it, or send it to the mixer.
  4. Record your own vocal. Sing over the backing on its own track, using headphones so it does not bleed into the mic.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make a karaoke version of any song?

Technically yes, for any file you can upload. Whether you may share or perform the result depends on the rights to that song — separation does not change who owns the recording.

Is the karaoke maker free?

Yes, completely. Vocal separation, recording, tuning and export are all free, with no subscription and nothing held back behind a payment.

Can I sing over the instrumental in the browser?

Yes. The built-in recorder puts your take on its own mixer track alongside the instrumental, with a count-in and a latency offset to keep it aligned.

Will the instrumental sound clean?

It is reconstructed by an AI separation model, so quality depends on the source mix. Dense, loud masters are harder to separate cleanly than sparse ones.
