Technically yes, for any file you can upload. Whether you may share or perform the result depends on the rights to that song — separation does not change who owns the recording.
Is the karaoke maker free?

Does the instrumental keep the backing vocals?
Usually not. The model separates voices from instruments, so backing vocals and harmony stacks tend to leave with the lead rather than staying in the instrumental. That is what you want for a karaoke track you are going to sing over, but it does mean a song built on layered harmonies can sound thinner than the original once the vocals are gone.
Can I change the key of the karaoke track?
No. IchiPitchy transposes vocals, not finished instrumentals — the pitch editor works on a monophonic vocal, so it cannot transpose a full backing track. If you need the song in a different key, generate a backing band from the chord progression in the key you want instead; that is unlimited and free.
How long does a separation take?
Usually a couple of minutes for a normal song, depending on its length and how busy the queue is. Progress is shown while it runs, and you can leave the tab open and come back — the finished stems are attached to the project.
Is it legal to make a karaoke version of a song I do not own?
Separating a track you legally own for private practice is widely treated as personal use, but publishing, performing or distributing the result is a different question and generally needs permission from the rights holders. This is not legal advice, and the rules differ by country — check what applies where you are before you post it anywhere.
Can I sing over the karaoke track in the browser and keep both?
Yes. Send the instrumental to the mixer, record onto a new track with a count-in click, and the take lands as a clip beside it. There is a per-microphone latency offset so your take lines up with what you were hearing, and headphones are required because echo cancellation is deliberately off.
