How clean is an extracted acapella?
Separation reconstructs the vocal from a finished mix, so it is very good rather than perfect. Dense, loud or heavily processed mixes leave more artefacts than sparse ones, and reverb that was printed onto the vocal stays with it.
For most uses — sampling, practice, transcription, remixing — that is more than good enough. If you need a pristine vocal, only the original multitrack will give you one.
