IchiPitchy is a free, browser-based vocal studio. Auto-tune your vocals to a key and scale, edit pitch note by note (double-click a note to shape its pitch curve), split notes with the cut tool, and extract or remove vocals — all online, with nothing to install. Works best on desktop.
It covers the whole path from a raw vocal take to a finished mix: isolate the vocal, tune it, generate a backing band from a chord progression, mix the tracks, and export a lossless WAV. It runs in a browser tab — there is no plugin and no download.
Record straight from your microphone in a browser tab, in 24-bit at the microphone's own native sample rate. Echo cancellation, noise suppression and automatic gain control are switched off, so your voice is captured as sung rather than processed for a phone call. There is a live level meter with a clip indicator, an optional count-in, and multiple takes. Record in the Editor and the take becomes a new project ready to tune; record in the Mixer and it lands as a clip on its own track, so you can sing over a backing. Headphones are required — with echo cancellation off, a backing played on speakers is picked up by the mic.
AI stem separation splits a song into vocal and instrumental tracks, so you can isolate vocals, remove vocals to make a karaoke backing, or download both stems as a zip.
The Mixer generates a backing band from 50 instruments across 7 groups — rhythm, bass, keys, guitars, ensemble, winds and melody — covering everything from drums, upright and slap bass, Rhodes, clavinet and church organ to horns, strings, sax, accordion, banjo, sitar, koto, marimba and steel drums. Bass, keys and guitars each have their own selectable patterns. The parts are built with rule-based music theory — not a generative AI model — from the style, key, time signature, groove and chord progression you pick, so the same settings always give the same take.
Lossless WAV in 24-bit or 32-bit float, from either the Editor or the Mixer, plus vocal and instrumental stems as a zip. Uploads accept WAV, MP3, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG and WEBM files up to 100 MB.
Is IchiPitchy free? Yes, completely. Every feature — AI vocal isolation, recording, auto-tune, note-by-note pitch editing, the backing band generator, multitrack mixing and lossless WAV export — is free. There is no payment of any kind, no subscription, no credits and no paid tier. An account is only needed so your projects are saved to you.
Do I need to install anything? No. IchiPitchy runs entirely in a web browser. It is designed for desktop and warns you on a phone, because pitch editing needs screen space and precise pointer control.
Can I auto-tune vocals online? Yes — to a chosen key and scale, and note by note.
Is it a free alternative to Melodyne or Auto-Tune? It covers much of the same ground — note-by-note pitch editing, pitch-curve shaping, and snapping to a key and scale — in a browser tab. It is not affiliated with Celemony Melodyne or Antares Auto-Tune.
Is it a DAW? It is a focused vocal studio with a multitrack mixer, not a general-purpose DAW.
